What do you want to know about me? Let’s see … I am 33 years old (as of April, 2006). I am an Opera Singer. I sing in the Seriöserbass fach (which means I generally sing low and slow).
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in music from Ohio University, and my Master’s Degree from the Peabody Conservatory. I will probably be going to Ohio State University for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in the fall of 2006.
I am African American. I am straight, but I support Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender rights, including the right to marry and adopt.
I generally support liberal causes. I may even be a Democratic Socialist.
I am a confirmed Agnostic. Actually, I’m an Apathetic Agnostic. Apathetic Agnostics have 3 “Articles of Faith.” They are:
- The existence of a Supreme Being is unknown and unknowable.
- If there is a Supreme Being, then that being appears to act as if apathetic to events in our universe.
- We are apathetic to the existence or nonexistence of a Supreme Being.
That’s me in a nutshell. Perhaps I’ll expand on this in future posts. Keep an eye out!
As far as this blog goes, it’s nothing special…just my collected opinions and observations. You are free to leave a comment on any of my posts. Comments must be approved by me before they can appear on the site. This means it may be weeks before you see your comment appear. I reserve the right not to allow your comment through at all, without explanation. I have mostly received spam comments when I have gotten them at all, so I’m not all that worried about hurt feelings.
If you disagree with or feel offended by anything on this website, you may certainly blast off an angry comment. However, you should do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else, because the likeliest response you’ll get from me will be ridicule and scorn. Basically, if you like what I have to say, great. If you don’t, then stop reading it. I’m sure there are plenty of other websites out there that you will enjoy. Why waste your energy reading something you don’t like?
