What’s New?

It’s been a while since I added anything to the blog section of this website. When I did the site re-design, I didn’t think I would continue blogging. I didn’t even incorporate ablog into the new design. I so rarely have anything worthwhile to discuss. I also have made an effort to avoid anything controversial. Just updates about what I am up to.

On that topic, I am definitely still singing. I will be performing the role of Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor with Opera Western Reserve in November1. I also will reprise the role of Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Resonance Works | Pittsburgh in December. This will be a brand new production in a large theater, so it will be awesome.2

Outside of singing, I’ve made a major change in the old “day job.” While I will still be a tax preparer at H&R Block, I will no longer be a manager. I’ve started training with Prudential Advisors to be a Financial Services Professional. I’ve already earned my Life and Health Insurance licenses, and I just passed my Series 6 Securities exam this week. I’m waiting for the state to approve that license. Suffice to say, this is a new endeavor for me, and I can’t wait to see how I do in a new role.

That’s all for now. I’ll try to be a bit more reliable on this blog thing.

  1. Remember that audition I had a while back? It bore fruit.

  2. Not that the production we’ve put on for the last three years wasn’t awesome — it certainly was. Just that this year, everything will change, and it will be all brand new and shiny.
